The new rankings for the eKartingNews.com Constructors’ Championship highlight the two events completed since the last release on May 12. The running of the WSK North American Series by CKI in Phoenix and the Rotax Pan American Challenge Series at New Castle were added to the standings for the June release of the EKN CC rankings. After making the debut on top, Arrow continues to hold on to the number one spot.
The Australian manufactured chassis has been flourishing across North American over the past few seasons. United States and Mexico distributer BTK Motorsports has worked closely with the factory to ensure competitors here are very well supported. With the top score from the Rotax Pan American event at New Castle, Arrow retains the lead but not by much as Birel nearly matched their score at the same event. The current Manufacturer’s Trophy holder in the WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Series is striving in the Rotax program as well.
Jumping to third with the third best total in New Castle is CRG. The repeat champion of the former EKN Constructors’ Championship format, the black and orange scored the third highest total at the second round of the WSK North American series as well to gain one point on Arrow’s lead. Merlin falls to fourth in the order, having just one point recorded at New Castle. Top Kart moves into fifth with the high total from the WSK event in Phoenix while Tony Kart falls to sixth.
Up next on the EKN CC schedule is a busy two months. Next week is the 2010 IKF 2-Cycle Sprint Grand Nationals at Willow Springs Kart Track with 13 classes to score points toward the CC standings. The third round of the WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Series will be held at Road America on July 10-11. The following week will be the US Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals at New Castle Motorsports Park and the SKUSA Pro Tour SummerNationals at USA International Raceway in Wisconsin. After that is the third round of the WSK North American Series at the reconfigured New Jersey Motorsports Park.

EKN Constructors’ Championship Guidelines
The EKN Constructors’ Championship calculation process includes the top-five finishers in each recognized class (Senior-Junior classes). Those finishers will be awarded points with first place earning five (5) points down to fifth place earning one (1) point. A minimum of 10 starting entries is imposed for each class for the results to be included.
