| WSK World Series Registration to Open May 28 |

WSK WORLD SERIES, IT’S TIME TO START. The WSK World Series, namely the World Series organized by the WSK Promotion, makes an early official move with the opening of registration. The same standard telematic procedure as every WSK event will become active from Friday, May 28th: on the website http://www.wsk.it, the entry form can be filled in online and get instant confirmation.
THE CIRCUIT IN PORTIMAO (P) IS READY TO BE THE LOCATION FOR THE FIRST ROUND OF THE WSK WORLD SERIES. The WSK World Series will kick off in Portugal in the weekend from June 30th to July 3rd. In the Atlantic city of Portimao, a tourist area situated 70 km. from Faro, the Circuito do Algarve has been finished by now and is part of the large complex Algarve Motor Park. The brand-new karting circuit is adjacent to the well-known motor racing circuit being the venue for the most important international championships. The separate facilities provide the opportunity to use both the racetracks in the same weekend as planned for the inaugural event of the WSK World Series.
TWO WORLD EVENTS ON THE SAME COMPLEX. The first weekend of the WSK World Series will take place in a very original background for the international Motorsport: the fifth event of the World Touring Car Championship will be held on the motor racing circuit with a double race scheduled on Sunday, July 4th, and at the same time, the WSK World Series first round will be run on the karting circuit with the Finals on Saturday, July 3rd. Both the events will be completely independent of each other but with the protagonists of the relative championships paying visit each other.
THE WSK AT THE RIBBON CUTTING OF THE BRAND-NEW PORTUGUESE CIRCUIT. Just as the Spanish circuit in Zuera was inaugurated before with the 2008 WSK International Series, the WSK World Series will cut now the ribbon for the Circuito do Algarve. The new racetrack is 1532 m long and the main straight is 10 m wide. |
