WSK Euro Series - Genk Preview

GENK MAY GIVE THE 2010 WSK FIRST TITLES. It’s Horensbergdam circuit’s turn to host the WSK Euro Series at the 2010 second last round in Genk, Belgium. The Flemish track is 1350 metres long to be covered clockwise, and is wide from 8,5 to 12 metres. Here, there is a chance of crowning the WSK first champions the coming week from 6th to 9th May.

SUPER KF MATCH-BALL FOR CONVERS. According to the Super KF ranking, 8 drivers are contending for the title and the outgoing champion Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG-Maxter) is one of them. Armand Convers (Kosmic-Vortex) is leading Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex) by 52 points and to be absolutely certain of winning the title he has to close the Belgian weekend scoring further 17 points over his main rival. As for Nick De Vries (Zanardi-Parilla) in third position, it is sufficient for Convers to add 4 points to the 65-lenght lead.

LAMMERS AND THONON ARE COMPETING FOR KZ1 TITLE. With 130 points still to be distributed, every driver in the ranking may be an aspirant to KZ1 title. Realistically, with a 15-point gap between them, both the first Bas Lammers (Intrepid-TM) and the second Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter) are the candidates most likely to win. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi-TM) ranking third at 50 points is faced instead with a more difficult task.

PAOLO DE CONTO, KZ2 VICTORY IS AT HAND. In KZ2, only the first 4 drivers in the ranking can be involved in the final rush. The outright leader Paolo De Conto (Energy-TM) has only to handle well his 101-point lead over Beitske Visser (Intrepid-TM) to win the title. Jan Midrla (Birel-TM) is third with a 125-point gap from the leader.

D’AGOSTO AND MOLLER MADSEN ARE CHASING THE KF2 TITLE. Being 37 points above Nicolaj Moller Madsen (Energy-TM), the leader Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart-Vortex) can gain the title by scoring 29 lengths. With 130 points still at stake, (a bit less than 134 points that D’Agosto has scored so far) Michelle Gatting third with 59 points is in the running as well.

VERSTAPPEN IS TWO STEPS AWAY FROM VICTORY. The KF3 leader Max Verstappen is leading Alex Albon (Intrepid-TM) by 87 points and has only to keep his rival under control to be the champion. In third position and completing the shortlist for the title, Peter Hoevenaars (Intrepid-TM) won’t have an easy task to close his 81-point gap from Verstappen.
