| Gatorz Karting Cup Announces Dates and Venues for 2010 Season |
| |
The Gatorz Karting Cup has finalized its 2010 season schedule, and will see the series working with the ProKart Challenge and Los Angeles Kart club in the new year.
As it did this year, the series’ first two events will be run in conjunction with the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas events at the CalSpeed Karting Center in Fontana, California on February 27-28. From there, the series will move to the fastest kart track on the west coast, the 1.8-mile long Streets of Willow Springs on May 15. The series will share the venue with the ProKart Challenge.
June 19 will see the series back at the Grange Motor Circuit. August 28-29 will see a new event for the series, as the Gatorz Karting Cup will partner with the Los Angeles Kart Club to run a joint Rotax event. The season will close out on September 18-19 at Buttonwillow Raceway Park.
“Partnering with the ProKart Challenge and the Los Angeles Kart Club will add to the overall value for our competitors,” said Gatorz Karting owner Andy Seesemann. “Sharing our date with ProKart, for example, will allow our Senior drivers to compete in their TaG Senior class.
“And our shared date with the Los Angeles Kart Club will mean that we will have the two largest Rotax series in the west coast sharing the track. This will mean large fields and more tracktime for the Rotax drivers of LAKC.”
