SATURDAY, JUNE 13
The final day of the 2009 IKF Road Race Grand Nationals went into the books at the Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas. Following months of planning and numerous hours of work by the Southwest Roadrace Association (SWRA) members, the event went off with no major stumbling blocks aside from the severe weather on Day 1. Competitors were welcomed with great hospitality and the racing on track was intense for all four days.

FRIDAY, JUNE 12
It was another long day at the Eagles Canyon Raceway with 14 different races taking place at the third day of the 2009 IKF Road Race Grand Nationals. The day was a smooth one with no incidents or bad weather to halt the action as the Southwest Roadrace Association (SWRA) kept the day on schedule. Nearly every class was decided in the final moments of their race with a number of Duffy winners decided by inches at the line.

THURSDAY, JUNE 11
Day two of the 2009 IKF Road Race Grand Nationals was a long and eventful day at the Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas. With the severe storms that rolled through Wednesday night, the paddock had minimal damage with a few sections of the track covered in mad - which delayed the start of on track action about two hours. Once underway, rain threatened to show itself again before racing action began but only a few sprinkles fell. When the action began on track, the Southwest Roadrace Association did everything they could to get all the races in on the day with none of the classes on-track time cut. Highlighting the day’s events were a number of drivers earning their first career Duffy.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10
The opening day of 2009 International Kart Federation Road Race Grand Nationals went into the books Wednesday at the Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas. Competitors were able to get seven straight hours of open practice during the day with two races taking place to hand out the first two Duffy’s of the event. The Southwest Roadrace Association (SWRA) welcomed all competitors to the event during their morning driver’s meeting and the opening ceremonies before the racing began. A number of sponsors and volunteers were recognized for their assistance in the months leading to the event and for their work the next four days.

Since securing the race back in October 2008, the Southwest Roadrace Association (SWRA) has been hard at work preparing for this week’s action at the Eagles Canyon Raceway for the 2009 edition of the International Kart Federation (IKF) Road Race Grand Nationals. Thirty-three classes will be competing over the four day event on the Decatur, Texas facility for the prestigious Duffy trophy that awaits each winner.
