Nick, go on the NCK site. Email or phone Mark Morrison.

You will need an Air Box, at least a 14″ silencer as there is a 92db limit. Tires I believe are open. Group 1 (Shifters run 3 times, twice on Saturday and once on Sunday) You have to run the same set of tires. Mark sent out a revised email today.

Well I had a lot of fun. Even though I was wrenching all day in the heat! I ran in Tag heavy and there was on guy in the field with one of those 600 tag motors. Now I wouldn’t mind driving one! He passed me and I was thinking what the hell was that?? Thanks to NCK again. BTW first time on Button with the repave fixes, Cotton was very nice!

Thanks to Mark and crew with NCK for the event at Willow Springs, plenty of track time at a lesser cost! NCK is doing a great job of keeping road racing going on the far left coast!

Sam, what kind of chassis do you have? And how close to the axle 3rd bearing is the sprocket and chain? Thanks

Pretty small picture. The Swedetech mount.

I was looking at the Motor mount at Acceleration Karting. It has a bushing that looks like can go on either side of the motor. Not sure on the exact size but looks to be about 3/8 of an inch? Saw one on a Kart, it put the axle sprocket very close to the 3rd bearing bolts. Was thinking I may have to grind those bolt heads a little.

    Chris I’m 67 and I need this!

I have an electric kart stand. Makes the procedure much easier. I fold up some duct tape and put it under the throttle to make it idle. Start the motor with a strap on the tire, then lower the kart to the ground. Move the stand out of the way and get in. All the time hoping the motor doesn’t quit. The duct tape blows away once on the track. Note I am way too old to run along side the kart and jump in!! Just had knee replacement anyway!

I have seen axle clutches used at Road Races. Don’t know if one will work with sprint gearing? I think a Rotax with a slippy clutch with say a stall around 7,000 rpm would be a rocket!

Jim I have the same problem. I looked at an offset motor mount the other day that should help. And moving the seat a little should work.

I think this will attract more Stock Honda pilots in Road Racing. Would be so cool to sit on the grid and push a button!!

Does Kart Limits mean to sound db or the number of karts allowed?

I sure hope this comes off! 60 miles to get on a road course! End of March I’ll be driving 12 hours one way to get to Thunderhill.

Depends on the class you run on the type of body work.  But there are plenty of Sprint classes avail. that use stock sprint plastic! The main thing you will find very different is the gearing.
