Things are looking lean for the Tag Heavy class!! Come on West Coast Tag guys and girls!!
If you are into 125 Shifter Karts this race would be worth the price just to watch! Some really fast people are entered.
When I ran there in 2012 the track seemed smooth enough. But was always getting like sand blasted. I figured it was fine particles coming up?
I sure would like to see some Twins again! The 250’s are getting by for the most part. You probably will need to run Air Boxes though.
Debbie, would love to see you guys there. The track is really nice since the repave.
Would be fun to have a race at Buttonwillow and Big Willow also??!!
Doug, were you using an Air Box when you got dinged?
Hey Larry, is the weather going to be 75 like last year??
I ran 18/23 last year, thought it was too low. Maybe a 17/21 or 18/22
JMO 19/23 might be too tall for this track?
There is a formula which I am the last person to ask ask about it! But with a 16/70 my friend figured it was 95mph.
Nice Video Doug, I really enjoyed that layout. And it’s abut 300 miles closer for me than Thunderhill!
Chris, I am kinda going through the same thing with my granddaughter now. I’m a nervous wreck when she is on a big track! She was on Buttonwillow for the first time last weekend and I had her following me in practice for about 10 laps!!
I have run a Rotax in Tag for a long time. And I am thinking it’s time to switch to an X30. I mainly Road race and they seem to be pretty fast and the less weight would be a big help for me.
T-West has already been modified with a new config to bypass the really tight stuff is what I have been told. Should be a lot faster now?
I just check Acuweather, says the high for the 30th 85, very nice!
It’s on Sunday Aug. 30th I hope?
IKF no longer has a Road Race National Event, are the Sprints not far behind?
Ed Portz, that’s the funniest thing I have ever seen as applies to Karting!! Especially since I run a Rotax. I’m still laughing!!! LOL doesn’t quite cut it right now!!
I was at a Road Race this week end and got my back side handed to me by two friends out with their brand new X30’s. Couple the tight turns with a tall gear ratio and the X30 seemed to have a much broader torque span. When my Rotax fell off the pipe I didn’t stand a chance.
Always thought someday we would be going back there? Hope it reopens
NASCAR drivers always seem to find the wall with no Safer Barriers.
Don’t think you gave the EVO enough time? I would take it to a Sprint track and see if you can get it running there. Jumping from engine to engine is a head ached in itself.
Yeah the dinner Sat night was great!!
