I recently bought a used shifter Kart.  I am new to shifters and don’t know a whole lot about them.  From what I can gather, I believe it is a 2002 CRG.  It has a 1999 YZ125 motor.  The kart currently has white label MG tires, but I need to get a second set.  I will be practicing at Buttonwillow Racepark until I get more serious about it.  They will only be used for practice, but I still want something with some grip.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I would recommend using MG reds (HZi is the actual model designation). I ran them for several years for practice on my 125 shifter. They hold up nicely while still maintaining a good amount of grip. It will be an easy step to other MGs if that’s what the club you’ll be running with uses.
