Hey folks, I’m new to karting this season and will be running sr y pipe. My question is what length flex is everybody running? I know what min length is, so should I start there or go a lil longer?

    Thanks, Cory albright

mine is 6 1/4 inch. it was cut by the local kart guy to make it legal for our local track. So not sure if that’s a standard or just our tracks thing. Also I thing the longer it is the more power you get. I am semi new also so I wouldn’t take my word for gospel, its just what I have.

also fyi I am running a kt100. not sure if that pipe goes on other motors also.

These pipes fall flat early. Run it as short as allowed to try and get some top end out of it.

so the shorter the flex length the more top end you will produce?

you are correct and longer flex for the bottom end. do you know how to measure the flex length?
