I’ll be moving to suburban Detroit to work for Chrysler.

What’s my local sprint track?  If there’s an oval really close to Auburn Hills, that’ll also be nice to know.

Charles, If you want to try road racing, there are three of the best tracks within four hours of you as well.

    Grattan Raceway (CES)

    Gingerman Raceway (CES)

and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (Dart Kart Club)

Michigan Kart Club also hosts events at Waterford Hills, minutes from Auburn Hills, and Michigan International Speedway.

    Charles,

Look up Dan Barth when you get to Auburn Hills. He works at Chrysler and drives a KZ.

Is Flatrock Michigan still racing karts?  They are one of the oldest tracks and have an enviable safety record.  My buddy Bob Stevenson raced there for decades.    Leamington in Ontario and just an hour’s drive east of Detroit is another vibrant racekart scene.

    You have two choices:

East Lansing Kart Track (East Lansing, MI)

     OR

Point Pelee Karting (Point Pelee, ONTARIO)
