how do you figure out what’s best and when or if you have mxc do you just roll with mxc?

    Mark,

I run MXCs almost all the time. I’ve had them work just fine in 40˚ weather on hard tires, as well as 90˚ weather on soft tires.

I would say in general the MXPs won’t hurt you unless you’re on a medium/soft tire or at a regional/national race.

The MXCs will always provide an advantage in terms of tire consistency. If you’re struggling to get the kart to work consistently through a run and it’s dropping off too quickly at the end, that’s the point the MXCs are your optimal wheel.

I prefer aluminum for the rain just because rain wheels tend to take some abuse, and also aluminum tends to give the tire a bit more grip.

TJ what are MG yellow tires considered? Soft or hard and would MXC wheels work for them at a club with eight laps??? If they do great!

If they don’t then crap! I’m out $700

    Brock,

Yellows would be considered a softer tire here. And yes. MXC wheels will always work.
