    Good morning everyone and welcome to the final weekend of the Rocky Mt Prokart Challenge of 2013!

    Rounds six and seven take Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming racers to The Track at Centennial in Centennial Colorado. Drivers are filling the pits this morning to a bright sunny skies, with temps expected to hit the 90’s. Per the radio on the way into the track, there is a slight chance of thunderstorms later this afternoon.

    Championships are going to be decided this weekend in many classes, and the racing will be exciting.

     

    Practice goes hot in 20 minutes!

    Ill be doing my best to bring session by session updates starting in qualifying, as well as livestreaming play-by-play of the action both days.

    Schureman gets a great start from the second row and grabs P2 before turn one, fends off Bradley at the line for second. Schermerhorn leads wire to wire picks up win. Schimmel fights loose kart.

    Poor start by Durrant in P2 lets MacLeod slip by. Durrant retakes P2 start of lap two. Durrant gets around Dempster for one lap, before Dempster takes lead back. MacLeod holds off hard charging Deslauriers for P3. Very good racing

    S2 Heat Race 2 **UNOFFICIAL**

    Schermerhorn leads wire to wire and scores the win. Schureman holds second for first half of lap one before losing the spot to Bradley in the hairpin. Rudolph retires early.

    MacLeod gets another great jump in turn one at the start, holds second, then grabs lead from Dempster on lap 3 in turn one. At halfway, Durrant dove to the inside of turn one to take lead from MacLeod but the two made contact. Tristian keeps the kart from getting sideways and stays on the track. Dempster and Durrant battle on last lap, Durrant comes out on top.

    Shucard gets a great run on Deslauriers coming to the sweeper, gets along inside Derek in the sweeper and takes the lead before the line. Leads wire to wire.

    Schermerhorn checks out. Bradley at times getting pressure from Schureman. Schimmel and Flores have good battle, with Schimmel coming out on top

    Durrant checks out. While racing for second on lap two Dempster and MacLeod make solid contact on front straight. Dempster falls back, but eventually regains second. Parents in stands, not happy….

    Davis gets awesome start, checks out. Allen beats Conyers off the line for P2. Lap four contact between the two took Allen out, and an avoidable contact penalty put Conyers behind Allen in the end.
