Can someone explain the effects of using different thickness cylinder base gasket.

I have been told thinner gasket moves power band lower, thicker gasket moves it higher in the rpm range. Is this true , is there a good starting point or is it just trial and error until you find what works?

There’s no significant change in performance. Just optimize the timing based on the WKA rule book.
