What is the most fuel I would use in a 30min race with a Yamaha Can on the Stick type exhaust in the Yamaha Sprint class? I am trying to determine if I can downsize to a 3.5 liter (0.92 gal) size fuel tank and still have enough fuel for any track we go to.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I’d think you will cutting it real close with a 3.5 litre tank. I’d go at lest 5 litre to be safe. Especially if you don’t pick up all of the gas in the tank.

I run a Sportsman (can on a stick) laydown and after a 45 min race, I use ~6 quarts (~5.7 litres) so for a 30 min race, I would estimate 3.8L. I run a sump tank to avoid issues with fuel surge.

    Thanks Chris.

I am thinking I should use a 5qt or larger to be safe as Jim suggested.

    Thanks,
