    Is there a reason that button head allen bolts are not used from the bottom pointing up to hold the floor pan on so that the nuts are not ground off. We did this years ago and was wondering why this changed.

    Some people still do this.  I guess its different by manufacturer.

    It should be a safety rule that the heads must be on the bottom. Anyone with common sense and a conscience will do it that way. No need for anyone to get run over with a cheese grater.
