so I decided to buy an engine for my kart since my leopard had a bad crank. So I looked at some classifieds here and it seems like you can buy the same leopard for about $750 and then I see similar leopards go for $1500-$1800 .
So I’m a bit not sure what to do ?
You should be able to repair the one you have for somewhere in the middle of those figures and you will have a freshly rebuilt engine rather than an unknown used engine.

That eould be awesome .
but the crankshaft driver side is bad and the crank case is deeply scratched do you still think that is possible?
Mic so who would you recommend for an engine rebuild?
Would have to see the crankcase, but you can replace just the driver side crank half.
I’ll gladly rebuild it for you if you want. Wasn’t trying to promote a job necessarily.
What’s your email? So we can discuss more and I will send you some pics
