I’m fixing up an old KT100 Margay kart and learning as I go. Aibox was filthy, but gave it a good first cleaning. I have the rubber part for the airbox that attaches to the carb and the metal mount, but are there supposed to be filters or anything in the 2 tubes to keep out dust, sand or dirt? Or is this the design?

    Thank you!

Most people use a foam filter that is integral to the rubber boot that connects the box to the mount cup on the carb.
