Yesterday I was testing a DD2 I acquired. The chassis & engine are 2013. For 4 sessions the shifting seemed to work fine. Then after shifting into high gear, the motor had a tendency to fall back into neutral [false neutral].
Question: are false neutrals a sign of 1) wear on parts; 2) adjustments needed; 3) other.
Somewhere I thought I recall learning that the DD2 has an ignition interrupt to ease the upshifting. It did seem there was an ignition interrupt after going to high gear – but it was too late to actually assist in the gear change.
Ideas? I have not yet had a chance to read over all of the DD2 tech docs.
