    1. I hope everyone is having a good holiday. This will be my first time running a shifter at Laguna Seca. What would be a starting gear set. At thunder hill I  used 18 23. Laguna may be the same. Thanks for your help

    I think 18/22 is what we used last time.

    I ran 18/23 last year, thought it was too low. Maybe a 17/21 or 18/22

    Hi Jack,

    Sorry I missed your original post.  I ran 17/22 on Saturday, and that ratio worked well for Race 1 but was a little short for race 2.  If the weather is good and no wind, I’d start at 18/23 or 19/24 (but watch out for chain clearance when using that ratio).
