Yes! Always make sure to remove the needle valve when cleaning.  I’ve toasted two engines in the past by not doing this.  Also, soak a q-tip

with wd40 and swab the needle valve seat before replacing. This helps initial lubrication of the seat. The carb cleaner can dry out the seat potentially causing the needle valve to stick during startup after cleaning.
