SuperNationals 7 was the second in a two-year span at the Rio Hotel & Casino, also marking the final year of the event under the watchful eyes of former Superkarts! USA CEO Jim Murley. The event marked a transition in powerplant, with the SuperPro category moving from the moto-based engines to the karting-specific ICC motors. The big names came out requiring both B and C Mains due to the large field. In the end, it was a complete race put in by Wesley Boswell aboard the MRP Motorsport / Birel machine scoring the victory. The podium was a who’s who of the best shifterkart pilots of the 2000s - Ron White, Jordy Vorrath, Alex Speed and David Jurca. Boswell is among the best driver coaches/mechanics in the paddock today, wrenching with Austin Elliott in the TaG Senior category, and helping former S1 winner Joey Wimsett.
