Four shifter drivers and four Rotax competitors complete Energy Kart USA driver lineup
Another weekend provides another chance at race wins and podium results as Energy Kart USA heads to the newly named Utah Motorsports Campus for the second round of the Sofina Foods US Open in Tooele, Utah. With a stacked team of eight drivers, Energy Kart USA will look to bring home the hardware once again as they do battle in Senior Shifter, Master Shifter, Micro MAX and Mini MAX.
“It is great to head to the second event of any series with more drivers than we had at the previous round,” explained Stacey Cook, Owner of Energy Kart USA. “With drivers entered in four of the offered classes, our chances of standing atop the podium are good.”
Leading the Energy Kart USA team into Utah will be Senior Shifter driver Sabre Cook. Looking to build from her podium in New Orleans, Cook enters the event as one of the favorites in the class. Currently second in the overall series point standings, Cook will is hoping for a strong weekend to takeover the point lead heading towards the championship finale in Las Vegas in November. Carson Mueller will join Sabre in the Shifter Senior class coming off multiple strong efforts as he continues making steady gains after graduating from the S5 class early this season.
Hugh Templeman and Dave Conyers will throw their hats in the mix in the Masters Shifter division with Templeman currently fourth in the points. With a strong run in Utah this coming weekend, the Energy Kart USA driver could put himself firmly in the championship hunt.
A quartet of drivers will make their national level debuts this weekend as Kabis Jacobs, Dax Cothrun and Lasse Gaxiola will do battle in Rotax Micro MAX while Seth Cothrun will enter his name in the strong Rotax Mini MAX category.
