PSL Karting Continues Florida Winter Tour with Exceptional Speed and Impressive Performance

PSL Karting continues to build on its ROK program, as drivers score highly this weekend among talented competitors

Entering the 2nd round of the Florida Winter Tour located at Ocala Gran Prix; PSL Karting was determined to build on its exceptional ROK platform. Showing highly impressive speed in the DD2 category during the first round, Oliver Askew transitioned into the ROK Shifter class for the 2nd round. In his inaugural weekend, Askew qualified a strong 2nd position, going on to win both Heat 1 and Heat 2.

Starting on pole position for the pre-final, Askew brilliantly drove his BirelART chassis to score the win and the fastest lap in the process. During the final, Askew fell back to 3rd position, where he remained until the chequred flag. Gianfranco Mazzaferro continues to improve on his Shifter kart craft in his rookie gearbox season. Qualifying an impressive 5th position, Mazzaferro carries huge potential to excel in the class, and will continue competing in the 6-speed category.

Scott Davidson travelled to the Florida Winter Tour to train and compete with world-class drivers. Davisdon qualified pole position for the master’s category, placing 2nd in the pre-final and scoring an enormously satisfying victory in the final. Enjoying the time spent on the track, the Shifter Masters driver remained confident throughout the event and impressed many with his speed and endurance.

Racing in the ROK Mini category, Justin Arsenau continues to improve every time the young driver hit the track. Placing 16th in one of the most competitive classes featured at the Florida Winter Tour, Arsenau placed 16th in the final, keeping clear of incidents and continuously improving after every session.

PSL Karting team manager, Coy Arbour praised his driver’s performance over the weekend. “Oliver Askew and the entire team were very impressive this weekend. Oliver showed he is one of the most versatile drivers on the grid today, and Gianfranco continues to build on his talents. Overall, I’m very pleased with how all of our drivers performed during the weekend.”

The Florida winter tour continues with the Rotax classes running at Ocala Gran Prix. PSL karting is determined on continuing its success throughout the year, with the industry leading BirelART chassis and successful equipment. Arrive and drive packages are still available for the final round of the Florida Winter Tour in West Palm Beach.
