Top Kart USA drivers were spread across the country October 24 and 25, competing at the GoPro Motorplex, Pittsburgh International Raceway and PKRA’s Phoenix track. Drivers brought home podium finishes at each event.

“We’re excited about the great results around the United States in local and national karting events over the past few weekends,” said Blake Deister, co-owner of Top Kart USA. “Having Top Karts on many podiums shows that we can perform at all levels and all races. We are happy to continue receiving news about the results of the chassis, along with the level of performance on track.”

In Mooresville, N.C., Top Kart USA pilots competed in the final round of the 2015 GoPro Motorplex Karting Challenge. In Briggs Senior, Dan Breuer qualified on pole for the first race of the weekend. He brought home a second place finish in race one and a third place finish in race two.

In Yamaha Junior, Pauly Massimino, Austin Schultz and Emil Schultz all showed impressive speed. In his first race in the Juniorclass, Massimino qualified on pole for the first final, where he brought home a third place finish.  In the second final of the weekend, he brought home the win. Rounding out the Top Kart USA 1-2 to start the weekend’s first final, Austin Schultz qualified second in the first final, bringing home a win in the race. In the second final, he brought home a second place finish, clinching the championship. Emil Schultz finished fourth in the weekend’s second final.

In IAME Junior, Austin Schultz piloted his Top Kart USA chassis to a fourth place starting position for the first final, which he unfortunately did not finish. In the weekend’s second final, Schultz improved to a third place finish.

Bree Miller swept the weekend in Briggs Cadet, taking the checkered flag first in both finals.

In IAME Mini Swift, Aiden Baker Crouse qualified second for the first final of the weekend, in which he finished fifth. After a promising start to the weekend’s second final, he retired on the last lap.

In TaG Junior, JP Southern Jr. won Saturday’s race.

Top Kart USA drivers also spent the weekend racing in Phoenix, at PKRA’s 4-Cycle Super Showdown. Five Top Kart drivers from AMK Race Products made the haul from Minnesota to Arizona to compete in the event. Saturday’s heat races ran counterclockwise and Sunday’s heats ran clockwise, making for a steep learning curve, but Top Kart USA’s drivers came to win.

On Saturday, Max Peichel, running in the World Formula Junior class, posted two first place finishes, a fifth, and seventh place. In the same class, Connor Fasching, running his first national event, started the weekend with a second place finish in the first heat race and maintained his fast pace the remainder of the weekend. Despite a gear failure and an accident on Saturday, Fasching maintained his speed and finished the day in the top six.

On Sunday, Peichel captured another win in the day’s first heat race, bringing his total for the weekend to three. In the weekend’s final race, he brought home a second place finish, securing the World Formula Jr. title for the 2015 season.

In L206 Senior, Andy “Finch” Guenther started the weekend on a low note, with a mechanical failure in the first heat race. After starting the second heat in last place, he wove his way through the field to finish second. The weekend was Guenther’s first national event, and he posted three second place finishes and finished third overall for the weekend.

In World Formula Senior, Alexander Kardashian and Chris Slinden worked together all weekend to keep their karts in the top-five.

In the first heat race, Kardashian started eighth and moved up to second. He was followed by Slinden who finished third.  By the end of the first day, with four heat races under their belts, Kardashian was fourth in overall points and Slinden was sixth.

On Sunday, Kardashian dominated the day’s first heat race, which put him first in cumulative points.  With the overall points lead and inverse starting order for the top five, he would start in the fifth place in the last event. He finished second.

“We went to Phoenix with five drivers on Top Karts.  If you would have told me that we would have ended the weekend with overall finishes of first, second and third place, along with many more heat victories, I would not have believed it,” said Chris Kardashian, owner of AMK Race Products. “The results speak loudly of the Top Kart chassis.”

“With the 2015 season now officially behind us, this was a great addition to our already fulfilling results throughout the year,” said Bill McLaughlin Jr., co-owner of Top Kart USA. “Many podiums and several championship wins this year are the icing on the cake. It is great to see the results at the local level and in the 4-cycle market, which is a new venture for the Top Kart chassis. We are proud to help so many drivers get to the top of the podium.”
