2015 EKN Chassis Showroom: iKart

American-made chassis continues development and success at top level of sport

EKN is excited to offer a new editorial series for our readers – our ‘Chassis Showroom’. Over the past months, we have been highlighting many of the chassis manufacturers and the importers / dealers who are responsible for making these karts available to the North American karting community.  The market is filled with models for all levels of competition, from four-cycle to shifterkarts, and the new offerings are impressive. We will continue to publish new product line-up reviews through to the end of the year.

iKart puts you behind the wheel of tomorrow’s technology today. That is the standard that iKart has maintained through its young life. Based in the heart of the racing capital of the world, iKart is one of only a few American-made karting chassis today and is among the most successful in just a few years of existence. iKart is the brainchild of John Martin, an experienced fabricator that used his passion for the sport of karting to develop his own chassis brand. Much like the factory teams around the world, Martin is always testing and developing on his products, always looking to take it to the next level and gain that extra advantage.

Chassis: iKart
iKart is proud of carrying the ‘Made in the USA’ banner. The chassis frame utilizes tubing manufactured in the USA, all the billet aluminum parts are machined in-house, and carbon fiber is also done from the Indianapolis factory to make the iKart package a true ‘Made in the USA’ machine. iKart’s new blend of USA-made tubing beats the competition in performance and durability. Customers can enjoy a long-lasting product for their money and one that doesn’t lose its spring or race-winning performance.

iKart is proud to build machines designed for racing and continues to develop new and innovative products. The CBX RM2 was fast out of the shop, earning fast lap honors and major victories, including the Florida Winter Tour, WKA Manufacturers Cup Series and most recently the Superkarts! USA Fikse Wheels Pro Tour.

The RM2 and RM4 are the same chassis, with the only difference between the two are the seat mounts. iKart has the innovative multiple-mounting option seat struts on the RM2 chassis, to avoid drilling multiple holes in the seat. For the RM4, standard tubular seat mounts are utilized to space to allow for inboard chain drive on the 4-cycle engines. The versatility of the iKart chassis works well with a wide range of engine and tire combinations. The iKart is manufactured to except metric tools and products, including axles, wheels and other products with customers having the ability to bolt other manufactured products right on. Other unique iKart features include adjustable wheelbase, large ride height adjustments, independent caster/camber adjustments, super strong spindles engineered to be ultra lightweight, adjustable seat positions, paired welding technique and much more. The iKart is also available in a shifter model, and is now featuring a new Cadet chassis to expand the model lineup. Better design, better setups, better performance.
