206 Cup Rolls on to Eau Claire,WI August 8-9
This weekend marks rounds 2 and 3 of the 206 Cup series sponsored by Briggs 4T Racing Oil. Round 1 in Road America’s Blaine’s Farm and Fleet Motorplex saw nearly 40 competitors over only 3 classes and some extremely good racing. Being a 2 day event this weekend, series organizers Steve Vermeer and Greg Jasperson are hoping for an even better turn out this time around.
Racers were pleasantly surprised by the door prizes offered at the last drivers meeting, including a 206 Short Block and many bottles of Briggs 4T Racing Oil. Organizers promised more of this generosity from the sponsors at future events.
Eau Claire’ Raceway (operated by Midwest Karting Association) is a multi-layout track that is perfect for four stroke racing. Easy to drive but hard to master, this track should really provide for some excellent competition in all three 206 classes. Low entry fees and free onsite camping make this the perfect venue for the 206 Cup series that is making its mark by being the most affordable competitive karting series currently available.
