United States Rally Kart Association US Open of Dirt Registration to Open Next Week
Event and class sponsors jump on board for premiere event
With anticipation mounting for the first ever United States Rally Kart Association (USRKA) US Open of Dirt, event registration is set to open one week from today. With a buzz surrounding the event and class sponsors and supporters jumping into the mix, the US Open of Dirt is shaping up to be an event that you will not want to miss.
“We are very grateful for the support from within the karting industry,” explained Chris Wheeler, who is promoting of the event. “We have big plans in the works that we hope we can announce in the very near future.”
Jumping on board, Victory Kart and Bell Helmets have already confirmed their support in the first time event. Also, after returning to the top step of the podium this past weekend in Toronto, Verizon IndyCar Series race winner Sebastien Bourdais has confirmed participation in the event as he looks to add another karting victory to his already staggering resume.
“The US Open of Dirt sounds very cool and I will make sure that our team is in attendance,” explained Bill McLaughlin Jr. of Top Kart USA and Victory Kart. “This is an event that we will not miss.”
Tire testing will continue this week with several tire manufacturers interested in providing the spec tire for the event. With final tests happening in the coming days, a tire manufacturer, brand and compound will be announced late next week along with the US Open of Dirt final rules package.
