Registration and Important Information for Cold Stone US Grand Nationals
Registration for annual event is now open
With the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals only six weeks away, MAXSpeed Group is pleased to announce event registration is now open. With discounted entry running effective from today until July 7, 2014, event officials urge competitors to register early, secure kart numbers and save on the overall event costs. In conjunction with the opening of registration, MAXSpeed Group is also pleased to convey several other pieces of information and services that have been set up for teams and competitors.
Taking place at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah July 17-20, the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals are set to be the biggest and best Rotax MAX Challenge United States Grand Nationals to date. With a challenging track layout and buzz surrounding the event, MAXSpeed Group will have several more exciting announcements in the coming weeks.
“Event registration is now open and will be housed through the MotorsportsReg.com website,” explained MAXSpeed Group’s Josh Smith. “At the time of registration, competitors will be able to secure kart numbers, mechanic and driver passes, race tires and fuel as well as a discount on the overall registration cost. We are looking forward to the event and working hard to make sure it is one to remember.”
Please visit msreg.com/USGN2014 to register. Discounted pre-registration will close on July 7, 2014. On-site registration will be available but for an additional $150.
Competitors kart numbers will be secured during the online registration process, on a first come first served basis, as well as every entry will receive four days of official Cold Stone US Grand Nationals track time (Thursday to Sunday), race tires, one bottle of XPS oil, five gallons of VP MS93 fuel, driver and mechanic pit pass and an open invitation to attend the Friday night welcome party at the Miller Motorsports Club House. Spectator passes will be offered on official event days for only $5.00 per day while Miller Motorsports Park will host unofficial practice on Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16.
Smith added, “The first fifty registered competitors will be offered a free parking pass for their car. This will allow only the vehicles with this pass to enter the facility for the week while all others will be required to park in a designated car parking area outside the front gates of the facility. Only one car per family will be offered. Be sure to get online and register today!”
Additionally, MAXSpeed Group, in conjunction with Miller Motorsports Park has set up a tire-recycling program. Each and every team and competitor will have the opportunity to leave used and worn out tires behind at the facility. Looking to keep the community ‘green’ and do their part for the environment, the Rotax community is encouraged to participate in this program rather than disposing of tires in garbage cans and bins.
MAXSpeed Group would also like to announce that the spec fuel for the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals will be VP MS93 and will be offered for purchase trackside at the event. While Miller Motorsports Park has Sunoco GTX260 on site, the tanks are not large enough to obtain one load of fuel for the entire event week. Always looking to have an equal and level playing field, it was in the best interest of the teams, drivers, Miller Motorsports Park and the MAXSpeed Group to ensure fuel consistency during the event. Rather than receive multiple shipments of fuel throughout the race week and risk the chance of different fuel and fuel contamination, the decision was made to utilize the VP brand that will be sold in individual five-gallon fuel drums.
“We would like to once again thank our amazing sponsors and supporters for the annual Grand National event,” explained MAXSpeed Group’s Richard Boisclair. “A special thanks to title sponsor Cold Stone Creamery for putting their name on the Cold Stone US Grand Nationals, Koene USA for sponsoring the SuperPole awards, MRP Speed School for putting their name behind the welcome party and class sponsors Can-Am Karting Challenge, Full Throttle Karting, Ocala Gran Prix, Nash Motorsportz/Precision Works, PSL Karting, Chase Racing and Dallas Karting Complex. Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming weeks.”
