United States Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals Heads Back to Utah for 2014
Miller Motorsports Park set to host Rotax national championship on July 17-20
The MAXSpeed Group, the US distributor for Rotax MAX engines and related products, has announced that they are returning to the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah for the 2014 Rotax MAX Challenge United States Grand Nationals. This marks a return to the very popular facility where the event was first held in 2011.
The event, to take place on July 17th through the 20th, will mark the 15th annual Rotax MAX Challenge United States Grand National Championship event and crown our country’s National Champions in all seven Rotax MAX categories. In addition, this event will award several tickets to the 2014 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals.
Justin Bloxhan, Karting Director of Miller Motorsports Park, had this to say about the announcement, “We couldn’t be more excited to work with the MAXSpeed Group again. The 2011 event was a very successful endeavor being the first time for MAXSpeed and Miller Motorsports Park putting it together. Both groups now have a few more years and a few more large events their belts, and we know that combined experience will make the 2014 nationals that much better!”
The move back to a track in the western half of the United States was one of the prominent factors in making the decision to go back to MMP for 2014. Towards that end, MillerMotorsportsPark is a first class racing facility with a very advantageous location that will allow more west coast drivers to attend the event without straying too far from the middle of the country.
“For me, the move back to the MillerMotorsportsPark is very exciting, and perhaps a bit sentimental as that was where I ran my first Grand National as the US Program Administrator,” said MAXSpeed’s Josh Smith. “As we grow as a company, so does our racing program. Each year we’ve been able to make the Grand Nationals bigger and better and increase its stature and visibility on the national, and even international karting scene. From all indications, the 2014 event will continue this trend of making the Rotax MAX Challenge US Grand Nationals an event every serious American karter must attend.”
