Team News: Checkered Motorsports – Robo-Pong 200 Preview
With the 2013 season wrapping up, Checkered Motorsports will be going full force for the upcoming Robo-Pong 200 set to be held at NewcastleRacewayPark. Checkered Motorsports is partnering up with Conlin Speed Sport. With the experience of Conlin SpeedSport and the PCR chassis, their eyes are set for the top spot.
The Robo-Pong 200 will see the Bujdoso brothers pair up for the first time. This marks Robert Bujdoso third attempt in the endurance race, marking his best finish of sixth in 2011. Senior rookie Andrew Bujdoso has displayed a consistent fast pace throughout the season, and with his older brother being a mentor the Bujdoso brothers are set with one goal in mind, a victory.
Competing in Yamaha Jr. SuperCan is Nick Luedeke aboard his PCR Super Strillo. Luedeke is no stranger to NewcastleRacewayPark as his previous visit he put the PCR on pole in the United States Pro Karting Series (USPKS). The team seeks to repeat these results.
Upcoming star John Paul Southern. Jr. is set for the Yamaha Sportsman money race. Sweeping the Yamaha Sportsman field in the last round of the WKA Manufacturers Cup Series, the young driver looks to use this momentum for this weekend.
Checkered Motorsports owner comments, “I am very excited to compete in this year’s Robo-Pong 200. With Jim Conlin’s experience from Conlin SpeedSport I can assure that we have the upper-hand in the 200 lap race. We have a strong driver lineup across the board, and look to bring back some hardware.”
The SKUSA SuperNationals is right around the corner. Tent space and transportation is available, but limited! Contact Csaba for more details on PCR and SuperNationals.
