Rental League Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels Round One – Light Division
Ryan Truex won two of the three heat races to earn himself the points win overall in the Light division for Round One. In Heat One, Truex took the lead from Sam McAulay in the ‘double rights’ on lap five and went on to win the 10-lap heat race. Heat Two was a tough battle for position. McAulay and Truex took the top-two spots early on, while Ryan Shattuck, Joseph Tackett and Daniel Conway battled hard for third, going three-wide into Turn One. With one lap to go, the race got even more exciting as Tackett was able to maneuver into the lead and take the Heat Two victory. By Heat Three, Truex was back to his winning ways, battling off McAulay for the win on the last lap.

Truex grabbed the points win overall for the night with 575 points, followed by McAulay with 485 points and Shattuck in third place with 425 points.

Heavy Division –
Sam Watson solidified the points win overall for Round One in the Heavy division by winning the last two of the three heat races. The night started off strong for Garry Loney, as he scored the win in Heat One against a close field of competitors. The top-10 karts were bumper-to-bumper, swapping for position the entire first half of the race. However, in Heat Two, Watson took the lead on lap four and never looked back. Watson checked out early on the field before winning Heat Three by almost a 2-second margin of victory.

Watson completed his near perfect night with 540 points, followed by Joey Padgett with 480 points and Brad Buskirk in third place with 450 points. Padgett also earned himself a $25 Sunoco Gas Station gift card for his Fast Lap of 63.395 seconds.
