MRP Motorsport, Birel-America and MRP Speed Schools would like to congratulate MRP-Birel team members, Marc Miller & Stevan McAleer, on their maiden victory in Austin, TX. The pair teamed up to score their first Grand Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge win at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX.

Marc Miller, advanced trainer for MRP Speed Schools and data acquisition engineer for MRP-Birel America, and Stevan McAleer, driving instructor at Monticello Motor Club and mechanic for MRP-Birel America, drove the #5 ModSpace Mazda MX5 to victory for CJ Wilson Racing in round #2 of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series. The win was also the first for CJ Wilson Racing in their 2nd season in the series.

Both Miller and McAleer work closely with the MRP-Birel America team in the winter months while Miller, a former WKA, SKUSA, CES and US Rotax Max Karting Champion does karting seminars, coaching and training year around through MRP Speed Schools in addition to private car coaching.

“Being able to win on this level really helps showcase some of the things we try to teach on a weekly basis,” said Miller. “Both Stevan and I regularly coach, act as mechanics and are very active in karting. We had several karters approach us at the event and even more congratulate us after the win and that is a great feeling to be part of such a great community.”

Miller spends most of the year training others what it takes to find success in motorsports, from techniques behind the wheel, engineering and set-up methods and data acquisition seminars and analytics.

“I believe that the same approach that brings us success in a professional series is attainable in any level of karting,” continued Miller. “We strive to put procedures in place, repeatable methods, set attainable goals and focus on being precise. Most of all, we put the effort in to practice what we teach. These same practices is put in the curriculums I teach at MRP Speed Schools programs.”
